The 4th African Tea Convention and Exhibition

Uganda prides in hosting the 4th Africa Tea Convention and Exhibition because it afford it the opportunity to access consumer markets directly from home; instead of going through the Mombasa Tea auction.

The African Tea Convention chosen theme is “Sustainable Tea Farming – an inspiring future for nature, health and rewarding livelihoods” thus focusing on the tea industry and great concern about the issues of ever rising production costs, the need to ensure appropriate revenue for the smallholders and the threats of climate change etc.

It will be a great opportunity also for Uganda producers to share knowledge with producers from Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda and Tanzania and other global tea stakeholders who have already ventured into producing specialty teas such as orthodox, green tea etc.
