Kampala is the bustling modern capital of Uganda and the largest urban center, with a population of almost 2 million. The city is built on seven hills close to Lake Victoria. A key advantage of Kampala is that it is a safe city to explore.

Uganda was host to CHOGM – the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting with Queen Elizabeth, 50 Heads of State and over 3,500 participants, and the African Union Heads of State with over 3,000 in attendance. In 2017 the World Cross Country Championship was hosted in Kampala that had thousands of athletes from across the world participating. In the same year the ICC Division 3 World Cricket League event was hosted – showcasing the city’s extensive event and leisure capabilities.
